Templar's Table

The Templar's Table team is Joel and Meg Wittenmyer, former owners of 3 Doors Down Bistro in Colorado Springs, CO. One notably hard to impress food critic has commented that many of the 3DD individual dishes could rightfully be found in restaurants listed in the Red Michelin Guide. All of the products available through Templar's Table Specialty Foods were used in their own creative dishes.

Chef Joel has been a member of the American Culinary Federation since 1998.

About the team

  • My name is Joel Wittenmyer, CCC (Certified Chef de Cuisine). My wife Meg and I enjoy discovering new things culinary eveywhere we go. Even more fun than simply experiencing the wonderful things we find, is sharing them with our many appreciative friends. This is truly the most enjoyable aspect of cooking for us. I served as chef's apprenticeship in a European brigade kitchen, the Les Continents Restaurant at the Intercontinential Hotel, Houston.

One thing I learned is that every job in the kitchen is as important as any other. The continued good reputation and success of the business depends on everyone taking pride in the product they provided, from a Salade Nicoise to a Beef Wellington, a Baked Alaska to a Hamburger. I believe that pizza can be just as much a treat as a Veal Saltimbocca, it just has to be the BEST pizza you've ever had!

I have cooked to critical acclaim at our French Bistro, 3 Doors Down, My wife and created a casual atmosphere where our clientele could savor the absolute best in classical cruisine at reasonable prices. Our little place was likened to a small cafe in a French village by The Gazette restaurant reviewer, notorious for his demanding standards. Here at Templar's Table we provide the BEST product you can buy, from our selection of unique compound butters and seasonings to our services for select parties and banquets.
